About the Service

Hardwood Floor Refinishing, Made for Your Home

Refinishing sands away the worn surface of a hardwood floor, down to fresh wood, then applies stain and a durable finish. It removes scratches, dull spots and old finish, and lets you change the color if you wish.

We inspect the floor first to see how much wood is left, then sand in stages, repair what we can, stain to your sample and finish with a durable coating. The room is back in use soon after.

Music City Floor brings hardwood floor refinishing to homes and businesses in Nashville and across 21 Middle Tennessee cities.

Questions About Hardwood Refinishing

Still have a question?

Call 615-357-7797

How do I know if my floor can be refinished?

Solid hardwood can usually be refinished several times. Engineered floors depend on the wear layer. We inspect and tell you honestly, and the free Floor Problem Finder is a good first step.

How long does refinishing take?

Most rooms take a few days, including sanding, staining and finishing coats. We give you a schedule after we see the floor, and tell you when you can walk on it and move furniture back.

Is refinishing better than replacing?

Often, yes, if the floor is in decent shape. Refinishing costs less than replacing, keeps the original wood and can change the color completely.
